Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the level of leadership behavior of school
administrators and 2) to study the level of administrative effectiveness of educational institutions.
This research is quantitative. An example used in the research was personnel in an
educational institution. The research tool is a statistical questionnaire used to analyze data,
such as mean, standard deviation.
The results of research showed that 1) the leadership of school administrators had a
high level of behavior expressed in each form as a whole. Supportive leadership is the
highest first followed by participatory leadership. Command Leadership and Success
Leadership 2) The overall level of performance is good, with the ability to solve problems
within the school being the highest first, followed by the ability to produce learners. Ability
to develop learners with a positive attitude. And from this research process, leadership
development guidelines have been found, that is, school administrators should have a clear
work process. Exercise power appropriately. Executives should encourage ways to encourage
colleagues to come up with new ways to work. In addition, administrators should build selfconfidence,
determine trends, have the ability to change and resolve conflicts effectively for
the purpose of driving educational institutions
