Abstract:
Research on factors affecting the decision to choose services from a private elderly care center in Nakhon Pathom Province was conducted as a quantitative study. The objectives are as follows: 1) To study the demand for private elderly care center services in Nakhon Pathom Province, and 2) To study personal factors and the marketing mix that affect the decision to choose private elderly care center services in Nakhon Pathom Province. The sample group consisted of 400 elderly caregivers in Nakhon Pathom Province. Data was collected using a questionnaire. The statistics used to analyze the data included descriptive statistics such as percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics such as T-test and one-way analysis of variance.The research results showed that most of the elderly who need care at private elderly care centers are women, married, aged between 35-40 years, with a bachelors degree. These individuals, often family members or caretakers, have a monthly income between 30,000-40,000 baht and the ability to pay expenses related to housing or elderly care centers amounting to 15,000-20,000 baht per month. Factors that significantly affect the decision to choose an elderly care center at the 0.05 level of significance include elements of the marketing mix: personnel, marketing promotion, and location. It was also found that differences in personal educational factors and family income influence the decision-making trend in choosing different private elderly care centers.
