Abstract: The ongoing conflict in Balochistan, Pakistan, is driven by grievances regarding economic adversity, political exclusion, and accusations of transnational human rights violations. In addition to examining strategies for achieving lasting peace and reconciliation in the region, this study investigates the root causes of the conflict. This paper endeavors to conduct a historical analysis of the turbulent relationship between Pakistan and Balochistan. The defining features of this partnership are a dearth of trust and a disregard for Baloch autonomy. It examines resource exploitation, the recurrent violence committed by insurgent and state armed forces, and the absence of inclusive development programs as underlying causes. This research employs the conceptual framework of direct, cultural, and structural violence developed by Johan Galtung to analyze conflict dynamics from multiple vantage points. The research findings indicate that for enduring peace to be achieved, conflict resolution must encompass transformations at all levels; individual, interpersonal, cultural, and institutional. The investigation is concluded. Decentralization of political authority, equitable resource allocation, restoration of civil liberties, intergroup dialogue, and the establishment of trust are the principal recommendations. Reconciliation requires that the central government delegate more authority to the federal government, distribute the benefits of the CPEC equitably, and safeguard human rights. The research suggests that Balochistan possesses the capacity to transform from a region characterized by violence into an exemplary province that values democracy and cultural diversity.
