Abstract:
The objectives of this survey research were: 1) to study the levels of psychological characteristics and social psychology of students in Benchamarajrangsarit School; 2) to study the psychosocial level of students in Benchamarajrangsarit School; 3) to study the level of utilization of the Four Iddhipada in setting life goals of students at Benchamarajrangsarit School; 4) to study ways to promote psychological characteristics, social psychology, and the application of the Four Iddhipada in setting life goals of students at Benchamarajrangsarit School. The sample group included 350 students in Benchamarajrangsarit School, Chachoengsao Province, determined by sample calculation formula and purposive sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire, consisting of three parts: (1) personal factors, (2) psychological characteristic factors, and (3) social psychology factors. Statistics used in data analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test (One-way ANOVA), and Pearson's correlation coefficient.
The research results were as follows:
1. Students at Benchamaracharungsarit School, with different genders, ages, grade point averages, and parental status, had different setting of goals in life with a statistical significance level of .05.
2. The students with differences in education and family incomes had indifferently affected on setting goals in life with a statistical significance level of .05.
3. The research results also found that psychological and social characteristics that affected the setting of goals in life according to the Four Iddhipada of students in terms of the psychosocial factors were family relationships, the relationship between teachers and students, and the relationship between friends and friends. There were different goals in life with a statistical significance level of .05. and the aspects of the Four Iddhipada, namely Chanda, Viriya, Citta, and Vimamsa, were different causing the different setting of the goals in life.
