Abstract:
The study consisted of the following objectives: 1) to explore the competency enhancement of teaching and learning management based on Brahmavihārā for teachers in social studies, religion, and culture learning substance; and 2) to compare the teaching and learning management competency based on Brahmavihārā for teachers of different gender, age, and work experience who were in social studies, religion, and culture learning substance and worked at school. The population for the study included 116 teachers in social studies, religion, and culture learning substance. The statistics used for data analysis for frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test.
From the study, the following results are found:
1) The competency enhancement of teaching and learning management based on Brahmavihārā for teachers in social studies, religion, and culture learning substance is overall at a high level (4.16). When each aspect is taken into account, it is found that an ability to solve problems has the highest mean (4.30), followed by an ability to use life skills based on Brahmavihārā or the Four Sublime States of Mind (4.29), an ability to think based on Brahmavihārā (4.19), and lastly, an ability to use technology based on Brahmavihārā (3.95).
2) From comparing the teaching and learning management competency based on Brahmavihārā for teachers of different gender, age, and work experience, the findings revealed no difference when comparing overall and in each aspect.
