Abstract:
The objectives of this research are as follows: 1) to study the current state of self-learning, 2) to study self-learning methods in the digital age, and 3) to propose guidelines for development of self-learning in the digital age of students in Prapariyattidhamma School, General Education Division, in Bangkok. The research used mixed methods in the study. The data were collected from 260 students of Grade 7-12 by questionnaires and from 7 experts by interviews. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation and content analysis.
The results of the study showed that:
1. The state of self-learning of students was at a high level overall. In details, the highest level was on students consulting with teachers regularly and teachers suggestion was provided through innovation and digital technology for students.
2. The self-learning method in the digital age of students in Prapariyattidhamma School was at a high level in total. The descending order started from teacher, followed by evaluation and measurement, learning skills, self-learning attribute, self-learning-media using skills, and learning contents respectively.
3. The guidelines for development of self-learning in the digital age of students in Prapariyattidhamma School, General Education Division, in Bangkok are that: innovations should be implemented in learning process; the learning contents should be relevant to real life; and students should be encouraged to self-learning through innovations and technology continually."
