Abstract:
The objectives of this research are: 1) to study the current state of information technology application in academic administration in the new normal of schools under the Office of Ang Thong Primary Educational Service Area, 2) to study the methods for application of information technology in academic administration in the new normal of schools under the Office of Ang Thong Primary Educational Service Area, and 3) to propose guidelines for application of information technology in academic administration in the new normal of schools under the Office of Ang Thong Primary Educational Service Area. The mixed research methods were used in the study. The quantitative data were collected by questionnaires from 292 samples and analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The qualitative data were collected by in-depth interviews with 5 school administrators and then analyzed by content analysis.
The results of the study revealed that:
1. The current state of information technology application in academic administration in the new normal of schools under the Office of Ang Thong Primary Educational Service Area was at a high level overall. In the descending order, the highest level was on learning process development, followed by development and use of learning media, curriculum development, development of internal quality assurance and education standard, and education measurement, evaluation and courses and credits transfer system respectively.
2. The methods for application of information technology in academic administration in the new normal of schools under the Office of Ang Thong Primary Educational Service Area are as follows; to have teachers train in learning measurement and evaluation program, to implement information technology in data storage and communication or exchange information in internal quality assurance and education standard, to implement information technology in designing and improving curriculum in line with the requirement of learners in the new normal, to support and promote online media and ready-made lesson, and to use the technology in learning process development in the new normal.
3. The guidelines for application of information technology in academic administration in the new normal of schools under the Office of Ang Thong Primary Educational Service Area are to train the personnel with skills in information technology relevant to the life in the new normal, to have teachers train with technology skills, to implement the applied program in academic affairs, to apply computer programs in data storage, measurement and evaluation, to use and build online media, applications, learning games, and ready-made lesson, and to implement technology in learning activities in order to develop learning process in the new normal effectively.
