Abstract:
This research has developed the new technique for controlling the flexible high-speed motion of granty crane manually, in order that system response is accurate, precise and without vibration. Using a filter, that is designed from input shaping technique, generates impulse sequences appropriate with system's natural frequency and damping ratio. In order that the new signal does not actuate the system resonance. Moreover, this technique interferes with disturbance signals, noise signals and system's high-nonlinearities issues by placing input shaping filter into control loop. However, there is term of time delay in the theory of input shaping technique, causing the system response uncontrollable. Therefore, this research proposed modification of the system response's time delayed by applying the Smith predictor, and using neural network generates the plant for this research. From experimental results with two-link pendulum, the new proposed technique has potential to control the flexible motion of granty crane accurately, precisely and rapidly without time delay, also the oscillation was reduced when compared with original control techniques
