Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to create and investigate the quality of the deductive learning activities with executive function; 2) to compare mathematical reasoning skills of Mathayomsuksa 2 students before and after learning by using the deductive learning activities with executive function. The sampling in this research were selected by simple random sampling in 26 students in the second semester of 2022 academic year at the Demonstration School, University of Phayao, Muang Phayao District, Phayao Province. The research tools were the deductive learning activities with executive function in the basic mathematics course 4, secondary school Mathayomsuksa 2 on Factoring of Second-Degree Polynomials and Mathematical Reasoning Skills. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation and the comparison of scores using t-test statistics. The results of the research were presented as follows: 1) the deductive learning activities with executive function to promote mathematical reasoning skills and cognitive abilities. For lower secondary students is the most appropriate ( = 4.65,S.D =0.48 ); 2) The mathematics reasoning skill measurement results on Factoring of Second Degree Polynomials by the deductive learning activities with executive function the basic mathematics course 4, secondary school Mathayomsuksa 2 in after study is higher than before study with statistical significance at the 0.01 level and according to the attributes of mathematical reasoning skills, the overall result is moderate representing 61.73 percent
