Abstract:
University personel work closely with many students. Their inappropriate disease prevention behaviors may cause outbreak of COVID-19. This descriptive research aimed to investigate behavioral predicting factors for COVID-19 prevention among Phayao University staff. Subjects were 353 University of Phayao staff. Data were collected by using questionnaire. Statisttics used for analyzing data were descriptive statistics; frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and inferencial statistics; correlation coefficient and multiple regression. The findings indicated that most of subjects were academic staffs (50.7%), female (62.3%), aged 30-39 year (51.8%), earned salary 20,000-39999 baht a month (58.1%), got married (60.9%), finished bacherlor degree (32%), no medical condition (88.4%), get health information from social media (93.5%) and involved with risk person (50.1%). The average score of health literacy in both separated and total were at high level. Factors predicted Coronavirus 2019 disease preventive behaviors were self- management skill, media literacy decision skill and access skill. The results revealed that University of Phayao ought to develop health literacy program for enhancing Coronavirus 2019 disease preventive behaviors.
