Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to: 1 ) examine the factor of teachers' scientific mind under Secondary Educational Service Area Office Prachinburi Nakhon Nayok and 2) guidelines for promoting teachers' scientific mind.
The sample group of this research, selected using stratified random sampling, consisted of 3 1 6 administrators and teachers in schools under Secondary Educational Service Area Office Prachinburi Nakhon Nayok. The research instrument used for collecting data was a five-point Likert scale questionnaire with the reliability of .97. The data were analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis and content analysis.
The research results revealed that: 1) the first order of the confirmatory factor analysis of teachers' scientific mind consisted of 6 observed variables at the statistical significance level of . 01 and goodness of fit with the empirical data were x2 = 291. 95, p-value = .06, x2/df = 1.14, GFI=.94, AGFI = .90, RMSEA = .02 and CFI = 1.00, respectively. And the results on the model analysis of the second confirmatory factor were found that the model has goodness of fit with the empirical data as follows: (1) curiosity, (2) prudence, (3) rationality, (4) persistence, (5) honesty, and (6) open mindedness. And 2) guidelines for promoting teachers' scientific mind as follows: ( 1) creating a learning environment, (2) teamwork, (3) creating good practices in work, and (4) creating a creative corporate culture.
