Abstract:
Creating art that reflects human behavior and social media. The objective
of this study was to study the data of Gen Y people, behavior, and social media use
that have negative effects on the body, eyes, degenerative cervical bone, and
headache through ceramic art. The Dan-Kwian indigenous soil was used with the
theory and process techniques of ceramic art. There is an experimental color that is
a fashion colora trend of the Gen Y group, namely UFO green, the plastic pink and
purple protons. Furthermore, the concept of the artist, namely Asaf Hanuka, and
Amarin Bupasiri, was used to design and imagine according to the story of the impact
of the body and the use of social media to convey it as a work of ceramic sculpture
through shapes, textures, colors, and electronic parts to be applied. This work
analyzed the shape changes from the negative effects of using social media, divided
according to the posture of using social media that negatively affects the body into 3
sets: according to the posture of using social media negatively affects the body. The
first set, social media reflections, the second set, prying eyes, and the third set,
applications with humans. The results showed that each set had a different number
or size, and people were involved in every task. Emotions, aesthetics, and tactics are
used to remind people of the negative effects of social media use on the process of
creating artworks of applied ceramic art mixed with electronics.
