The employer attractiveness affecting to the decision of job application of undergraduate students in engineering field in eastern economic corridor (EEC)
Abstract:
This research aimed to identify the levels of employer attractiveness in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and to explore the components of employer attractiveness. Moreover, to explore the employer attractiveness affecting the decision to apply for a job of the senior engineering students. The sample was 300 senior engineering students from universities in Chonburi, Rayong, and Chachoengsao. The multi-stage sampling was employed, while the questionnaire was used to collect data. Frequent, percentage, mean, standard deviation, exploratory factor analysis, and logistic regression were used for data analysis.
The finding revealed that employer attractiveness with the highest average level was career advancement opportunities. When analyzing the employer attractiveness components found five components, namely social values, environmental and economic values, marketing and acceptance values, corporate image and cooperation values, and product and career values. Further, the component affecting the decision to apply for a job of a senior engineering student in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) was the corporate image and cooperation values.
