Abstract:
The research aims to study and collect knowledge about the development of art education courses base on locations to create innovative arts and culture in suburban communities. To present curriculum development and to study the results of the course trial. The research was divided into 4 steps: 1) Study of relevant documents and theories In-depth interviews with 18 experts and collected information from 15 students to analyze and synthesize about the elements of the development of course 2) Create course and tools for measuring and evaluating and validating the quality of courses by experts. 3) Take the course to try it out. 4) Study the results of using and improving the course examination. The sample group consisted of 60 students in grade 5 - 6, from six communities, 10 students in each community. Learning activities were composed of 8 activities, duration of 36 hours. The research instruments were interviews for experts and learners, pile sorting, pictorial ethnography, art education courses, achievement test (pretestposttest), evaluation form learning behavior, observation form group, evaluation form for innovation in the art and culture of the community, satisfaction assessment form, and reflection writing. Data was analysis by frequency, percentage, content analysis, mean, standard deviation and t-test.
