Abstract:
This research is a descriptive research. The objectives were (1) to study the level of behavioral skills of boarding school (2) to study the needs for developing of boarding school student affairs management according to the concept of Non cognitive skills (3) to propose approaches for developing student affairs management of boarding schools according to The concept of Non cognitive skills. Three groups of informants consisted. The first group of informants: 1 director, 1 deputy director or head of student affairs, 2 dormitory supervisors or teachers taking care of boarding students, 2 teachers, total of 114 people, the second group of informants were students of boarding schools. Specifically, 228 students in grades 1-6 were selected and the third group of informants, consisting of 5 experts, assessed the suitability and feasibility of the draft guidelines. The research instrument was a questionnaire on Non cognitive skills of boarding school. A questionnaire on the present condition and the desirable condition of student affairs administration in boarding schools based on the concept of Non cognitive skills. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, PNIModified, mode, and content analysis. The findings showed that: 1.) Students Non cognitver skills of boarding school were the high level. in terms of having emotional stability 2.) The need for development of student affairs management of boarding schools based on the concept of Non cognitive skills was supervision and discipline, The second was service and welfare. and the third was extra-curricular activities, respectively, in which the behavioral skill component that has the highest need is open-mindedness. 3.) The 3 approaches for developing for student affairs management in boarding school based on the concept of Non cognitive skills are presented in 3 approaches as follows: (1) Develop control tasks. Discipline supervision with the use of student information to enhance Openness skills; (2) to develop extra-curricular activities By focusing on students' Emotional stability by organizing activities other than normal teaching work. for the development of mindfulness and emotions; (3) to develop a planning system Service and welfare work for students to be complete and continuous.
