Influence of Personal Factors and Organizational Citizenship Behavior on Job Performance of Staff at Faculty of Liberal Arts, Prince of Songkla University
Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate organizational citizenship behavior and influence of personal factors and organizational citizenship behavior on job performance of staff at Faculty of Liberal Arts, Prince of Songkla University. Data were collected from 100 subjects and analyzed with the R Program using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis. The study found that the subjects organizational citizen behavior was at a high level in all aspects; the aspect with the highest mean was conscientiousness followed by courtesy while altruism had the lowest mean. Staffs job performance in the two rounds of evaluations was at a very high level. It was also found that factors influencing staffs job performance at the Faculty of Liberal Arts were these three variables: being in the academic stream, being female, and being experienced. Being in the academic stream affected job performance significantly at .01 while being female and being experienced significantly affected job performance at .05. Of all the three variables, being in the academic stream had the highest influence on job performance.
