Development of analytical thinking ability about physical geography in Thailand in social studies, religion and culture course of grade 6 students through using flipped classroom
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were (1) to compare the analytical thinking abilities of
grade 6 students before and after the learning approach by using learning plans with Flipped
Classroom, (2) to compare learning achievement using learning plans with Flipped Classroom of
grade 6 students before and after applying the learning approach, and (3) to study the students
opinions towards the instruction with Flipped Classroom learning approach. The research samples
were grade 6/1 students at Anuban Trakanphuetphon School using cluster random sampling to
select a group of 38 students from the classrooms in grade 6. The research instruments used for
gathering data were; lesson plans, analytical thinking abilities on physical geography in Thailand
test, achievement test and questionnaire. The statistical analysis employed were mean ( X ) ,
standard deviation (S.D.), and t-test dependent.
The research findings of this research were as follow:
1. The students analytical thinking abilities used learning plans with Flipped
Classroom improved statistically significant different at .01.
2. The students learning achievement were improved statistically significant
different at .01 as measured after Flipped Classroom learning approach has been applied to the
instruction.
3. The students satisfaction on the learning Flipped Classroom learning theory the
highest level ( X =4.51, S.D.=0.11).
