Abstract:
Control charts are a wonderful and crucial statistical process control (SPC) tool that is frequently employed in systems for monitoring to detect a particular flaw in the procedure. This study aims to propose new mixed control charts with motivation detection ability for fewer shifts in the process mean under symmetric and non-symmetric distributions, namely the MMME-TCC, MMEM-TCC, MEME-TCC, MMEE-TCC, MDME-TCC, and MMED-TCC. The Monte Carlo simulation employed average run length (ARL), the standard deviation of run length (SDRL), and median run length (MRL) as effectiveness criteria, and their efficiency was compared to existing control charts. The results of this study suggest that the proposed chart exceeds other control charts for recognizing small-to-moderate shifts. To demonstrate the application of the proposed chart, chemical process temperature data and a dataset on PM 2.5 were utilized and it was discovered that the proposed chart surpasses other control charts.
