The Development of Problem-Solving Skills by Problem-Based Learning Model on al-Fiqh Subject Entitle Haidh and Istihadah for the First Year Intermediate Islamic Studies Stage Students
Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to develop and find the effectiveness of a learning management plan that used problem-based learning management according to the 80/80 standard criteria, to assess problem-solving skills after studying the al-Fiqh on Haidh and Istihadah using 80% criteria, to compare the learning achievement of the al-Fiqh subjects on Haidh and Istihadah by using the problem learning management as the basis of Intermediate Islamic Studies Stage Students, year 1 and to evaluate the satisfaction of learners from studying al-Fiqh on Haidh and Istihadah by using problem-based learning management of Intermediate Islamic Studies Stage Students, year 1 towards the managing problem-based learning on the al-fiqh learning content of Haidh and Istihadah. The population was 244 students from 6 classes in the first year of the intermediate Islamic Studies stage. The sample group was 40 students of Islamic Studies in Year 1/1, the second semester, in the academic year 2020 selected by the purposive sampling method. Research tools included 1) a learning management plan, 2) the problem-solving skills test with 20 subjective items, 3) 40 items of the achievement test with a multiple-choice test format, and 4) the student satisfaction assessment form for adopting the solving-problem skills. The statistic was percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The results revealed that
1. The efficiency of the learning management plan using problem-based learning management was equal to E1/E2 = 80.31/84.94
2. The problem-solving skills of the al-Fiqh on Haidh and Istihadah after studying were higher than before with an average of 84.66
3. Comparison of the learning achievement from studying al-Fiqh in the subject of Haidh and Istihadah by using problem-based learning management of Intermediate Islamic Studies Stage Students, year 1 after studying was 28.58/33.98
4. The students' satisfaction towards the problem-based learning model was at the highest-level satisfaction, with an average of 4.63
