Transformational Leadership of School Administrators Affecting Performance Efficiency of Teachers under Mukdahan Primary Educational Service Area Office
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to; 1) study transformational leadership of school administrators; 2) study performance efficiency of teachers; 3) study the relationship between transformational leadership of school administrators and performance efficiency of teachers; and 4) construct a predictive equation of the performance efficiency of teachers Mukdahan Primary Educational Service Area Office. The samples group was 328 school administrators and teachers. The research instrument used for collecting the data was a fivepoint rating scale questionnaire, which showed .95 reliability of the transformational leadership of school administrators and .94 reliability of the performance efficiency of teachers. The statistical methods included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearsons product moment correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression.
The research results were as follows:
1. The transformational leadership of school administrators under Mukdahan Primary Educational Service Area Office in overall was at the very high level.
2. The performance efficiency of teachers under Mukdahan Primary Educational Service Area Office in overall was at the very high level.
3. The relationship between the transformational leadership of school administrators and the performance efficiency of teachers under Mukdahan Primary Educational Service Area Office was highly positive with statistical significance at .01.
4. To construct a predictive equation of the performance efficiency of teachers under Mukdahan Primary Educational Service Area Office, it was found that inspiration was the best predictor of the performance efficiency of teachers followed by having ideal influence and Intellectual stimulation respectively. These predictors could mutually explain the variance of the performance efficiency of teachers under Mukdahan Primary Educational Service Area Office for 52.20 percent with the statistical significance at .01. The predictive equations of the performance efficiency of teachers in term of raw scores and standardized scores were as follows.
