Abstract:
In this thesis, we study equation x 2 + y 2 = z 2 − k over finite fields, we find the number of solutions to this equation over finite fields and try to describe an elementary method for finding all solutions over Zp where p is prime. Then, we describe a relationship between the solutions over some finite fields and the solutions over Z.
