Abstract:
The purpose of this research were 1) to study the opinions of school administrators and teachers towards the conditions of information technology administration in digital era of schools under Sakaco Primary Educational Service Area Ofice 1, 2) to compare the opinions of school administrators and teachers towards the conditions of information technology administration in digital era of schools under Sakaeo Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 classified by position status and school sizes; and 3) to study guidelines for information technology administration in digital era of schools under Sakaco Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The research was conducted in two phases. Phase one was to study and compare the conditions of information technology administration in digital era of schools under Sakaco Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The samples were 380 school administrators and teachers, selected by using the table of Krejcie & Morgan, and stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire with the reliability of .967. The statistics used for analyzing the collected data were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The hypothesis was tested by independent sample t - test and One - way ANOVA, when the difference was found Scheffe's Method was used. Phase two was to study guidelines of information technology administration in digital era of schools under Sakaco Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The target group consisted of six experts selected by using purposive sampling. The research instrument was a semi - structured interview and the collected data were analyzed by content analysis. The results of this study were as follows:
1. The opinions of teachers towards the conditions of information technology administration in digital era of schools under Sakaeo Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 as a whole and each aspect was at a high level. When considering each aspect, the learning management was at the highest mean score, followed by the personnel development, while the learning resources was at the lowest mean score.
2. The comparisons of the opinions of school administrators and teachers towardsthe conditions of information technology administration in digital era of schools under Sakaeo Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, classified by position status as a whole was not different. When considering each aspect, the learning resources was statistically different at significant level of .05. When classified by school sizes as a whole was not different. When considering each aspect, the learning management was statistically different at significant level of.05.
3. The guidelines for information technology administration in digital era comp aspects: 1) For the internal management, personnel should be encouraged to leagies in which by school administrators must consider appropriate technol help solve problems which the characteristic of a One -Stop Service, 2) Regarding management, there should be a system for collecting information related to learning, quality development of learners, easily accessible, updated, interesting and useful, 3) In terms of the infrastructure, the technological equipment used in the operation should be regularly inspected, maintained and provided with a spare set in order to be able to use continuously, 4) For the learning resources, budget sources should be provided, as well as resources from various agencies, both public and private sectors in order to provide sufficient technological equipment as needed. and 5) Regarding the personnel development, personnel should be trained to equip with knowledge and skills in using information technology in their work in which school administrators supervise, monitor and evaluate the use of technology in their work.
