Abstract:
The objectives of a study on Mobilizing the Buddhist Education Sandbox
Network are: 1) to study the mobilization of Buddhist Education Sandbox, 2) to develop
a model of mobilizing Buddhist Education Sandbox, and 3) to promote the model of
mobilizing Buddhist Education Sandbox. The process of this qualitative research is
based on action research method. The data were collected from documents, research
works, printed materials and online materials and then analyzed for setting up scope,
content, conceptual framework and research instrument structure in the study. 400
samples used in the study consisted of administrators, teachers, officials, and students
of 5 schools; 1) Chaona Putthasetthasart School in Chiang Rai, 2) Satya Sai School in
Lopburi, 3) Rung Arun School in Bangkok, 4) Julamanee Sri Saket College in Sri Saket,
and 5) Wat Sutthivararam School in Bangkok. The research instruments were interviews
form and group discussion.
The results of the study were found that:
A mobilization model of Buddhist Education Sandbox can be developed and
adjusted to changing situations, processes of effective teaching and learning and
applied for implementation in other schools. The Buddhist Education Sandbox has
plans in teaching and learning management, plan operation, measurement and
evaluation, and activity based learning. The process of teaching and learning should
be easily accessed and opened for every sector to participate. The mobilization of
Buddhist Education Sandbox should be based on a clear model with network in order
to mobilize Buddhist oriented schools in the same direction in development their
students and Buddhist learning.
The classrooms in Faculty of Education of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya
University were modified into Buddhist Education Sandbox and they were equipped
with modern technology to mobilize the concept, transmit the body of knowledge
and link school network in participatory learning, activity, and public relations on
learning set and activity set via application and pager.
