Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to analyze the construction management according to temple people government project of Nonthaburi province, study the composition of construction management according to temple people government project of Nonthaburi province and propose model development of construction management according to temple people government project of Nonthaburi province. The research methodology was mixed methods research between qualitative and quantitative research. The qualitative research conducted by in-depth interviewing the 17 key informants who were Sangha administrators, head of government and academics which selected by specific and focus group discussion with the 9 experts. The qualitative data analysis was descriptive analysis. The quantitative research conducted by study 192 by simple random sampling from 369 populations who were the monks in Nonthaburi province. The sample size used Taro Yamane's formula. The tools used for data collection were 5 rating scales questionnaire with confidence value at 0.918. The statistics used frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The research findings were as follows:
1. Construction management according to temple people government project of Nonthaburi province were; 1) strengths include having clear operating principles, there are ongoing activities there is an application of Buddhist principles in the implementation, there are enough manpower, the temple has activities that are consistent with the project, 2) Weaknesses include insufficient budget, use a large budget, some tasks the monks cannot do, the monks lack knowledge of construction work, some physical actions are contrary to the Dharma Discipline, 3) opportunities include the Sangha gives full support, the Local government organizations are involved, there is a budget to support part of the government agencies, Buddhists support and 4) obstacles include the scope of the project is too wide, some operations require employment, not all temples are required to participate in the project, some of the Sangha buildings are out of order, the surrounding communities of some temples are multicultural.
2. The components of the Construction management according to temple people government project were; action planning, set up a committee and training to educate people, involved arrange the temple area and Sangha buildings in proportion, clean and hygienic, do activities that promote health and the environment, sewage disposal conservation of ancient artifacts and carry on the arts and culture traditions, promote wisdom to people by practicing Vipassana Meditation and setting up the temple as a learning center for the community. The Construction management according to temple people government project according to the 4 Sappāya were; arrange the Sangha building to be in proportion clean and hygienic, promote good nutrition, provide a public relations department with knowledge and good service, and there are regular exhibitions.
3. The model development of construction management according to temple people government project of Nonthaburi province were; 1) Sort includes put things into categories, separating the essentials and the unnecessary, destroy the useless and keep something useful, 2) Set include label the things, order in order of importance and keep it safe, 3) Sweep include cleanliness campaign and arrange cleaning, 4) Standardized include improve the Sangha building to be clean and hygienic and 5) Sustain include build 5S values, set regulations and creating awareness.
