Abstract:
The objectives of this research were: 1) to study participatory academic administration in accordance with the Three Puññakiriyā-Vatthu of educational institutions under the Office of Special Education Bureau in Khon Kaen Province; 2) to propose a guideline for participatory academic administration in accordance with the Three Puññakiriyā-Vatthu of educational institutions under the Office of Special Education Bureau in Khon Kaen Province. The researcher defined a total sample of 194 people and three key informants for the interview. The research instruments were: questionnaires and interview forms with a reliability value of 0.97. The statistics used in the data analysis were: Frequency, Percentage, and Standard Deviation.
The research results were as follows:
1) The overall mean of the participatory academic administration in accordance with the Three Puññakiriyā-Vatthu of educational institutions under the Office of Special Education Bureau in Khon Kaen Province was at a high level of practice. The aspect with the highest mean was teaching management, followed by supervision within educational institutions and the development of educational institutions. The lowest mean was seen in the aspect of educational measurement and evaluation.
2) The guideline for participatory academic administration in accordance with the Three Puññakiriyā-Vatthu of educational institutions under the Office of Special Education Bureau in Khon Kaen Province was that the administrators, teachers, and personnel should participate in consulting, planning, monitoring, evaluating, improving, and developing based on the Three Puññakiriyā-Vatthu as follows. 1) Dānamaya (giving): the administrators, teachers, and personnel should allow others to participate in the work, congratulate and accept or agree to work with each other. 2) Sīlamaya (precept observation): the administrators, teachers, and personnel should help develop the work to be successful. 3) Bhāvanāmaya (mental development): the administrators, teachers, and personnel should participate in development training to obtain helpful information in work that can be used to advise or educate the colleagues to achieve the work objectives.
