Abstract:
The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the administration of educational institutions towards excellence according to the Four Iddhipāda Dhammas of the private school administrators under Nongbualamphu Provincial Education Office; 2) to propose a guideline for the administration of educational institutions towards excellence according to the Four Iddhipāda Dhammas of the private school administrators under Nongbualamphu Provincial Education Office. This study was carried out by means of mixed-method research. The sample group consisted of 214 administrators and teachers. The research instruments were: questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The statistics used in data analysis were: Mean and Standard Deviation and content analysis.
The research results were as follows:
1) The overall mean of the administration of educational institutions towards excellence according to the Four Iddhipāda Dhammas of the private school administrators under Nongbualamphu Provincial Education Office was at the highest level. The highest mean values were ranked from (1) the aspect of performance in accordance with the Four Iddhipāda Dhammas (X ̅=4.82, S.D.=0.03), (2) leading the organization in accordance with the Four Iddhipāda Dhammas (X ̅=4.77, S.D.=0.40), (3) planning in accordance with the Four Iddhipāda Dhammas (X ̅=4.75, S.D.=0.01).
2) The guideline for the administration of educational institutions towards excellence according to the Four Iddhipāda Dhammas of the private school administrators under Nongbualamphu Provincial Education Office was that the administrators should be thought leaders with a vision to set up management policies, encourage the participation of personnel both inside and outside the school, give equal importance to personnel at all levels, focus on a systematic operation to facilitate the performance of teachers and personnel in schools by taking into account on the needs of students or all groups of stakeholders of the school. There should be standards and measurement criteria in teaching and learning and personnel work. The standards and measurement criteria used are clear and practical. They should create students and parents satisfaction with their educational management.
