Abstract:
The objectives of this research are: 1) to study the state of Abhidhamma learning potential, 2) to develop a model for developing Abhidhamma learning potential, and 3) to propose the model of developing Abhidhamma learning potential for students in Abhidhammachotika College of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. The mixed research methodology was used in the study. The quantitative data were collected from 327 samples by questionnaires and analyzed by percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The qualitative data were collected by in-depth interviews with 10 experts and by focus group discussions with 10 experts and then analyzed by content analysis.
The results of the study were found that:
1. The state of Abhidhamma learning of students in Abhidhammachotika College of Mahachulalongkorn rajavidyalaya University was at a high level in total and in aspects starting from problem solving, followed by technology literacy, life skills, thinking skills, and communication skills.
2. The development model for developing Abhidhamma learning potential of students in Abhidhammachotika College of Mahachulalongkorn rajavidyalaya University consists of; 1) 5 principles in supporting students potential, 2) 3 areas of learning, and 6 activities in supporting learning potential.
3. The model of developing Abhidhamma learning potential for students in Abhidhammachotika College of Mahachulalongkorn rajavidyalaya University consists of 4 components; 1) Leading, 2) Model or operation system consists of 5 principles in supporting students potential, 3 areas of learning, and 6 activities in supporting learning potential, 3) Implementation consists of the learning achievement structure of students in 5 areas, operation decision for learning standard in 5 areas and evaluation guideline for the objectives of Abhidhammachotika College of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, and 4) Achievement conditions. The body of knowledge from the study can be concluded into CPL 2TT Model.
