Abstract:
The objectives of this research were as follows: 1) to study the current condition, the desirable condition, and the need for the management of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools under the Department of General Education Area 9; 2) to develop the management strategies based on the Three Pāpaṇikadhamma Principles for Phrapariyattidhamma Schools under the Department of General Education Area 9; 3) to assess the management strategies based on the Three Pāpaṇikadhamma Principles for Phrapariyattidhamma Schools under the Department of General Education Area 9. This study was carried out utilizing mixed-method research. The samples included 123 administrators and teachers from Phrapariyattidhamma Schools under the Department of General Education Area 9 and 15 key informants. The research tools used in collecting the data were a questionnaire and a semi-formal interview with a reliability value of 0.96. The statistics used in interpreting the obtained data were: Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, and PNImodified.
The research findings were as follows:
1) Regarding the current condition, the desirable condition and the need of the management based on the Three Pāpaṇikadhamma Principles for Phrapariyattidhamma Schools under the Department of General Education Area 9, the overall mean of the current condition was at a high level, and that of the desirable condition was at the highest level. When the needs were prioritized, they could be shown as follows: (1) the management of four departments following the principle of Cakkhumā, i.e., the far-sightedness with good visions (efficiency in thinking); (2) the management of four departments following the principle of Vidhūro, i.e., the expertise in management (efficiency in the task); and (3) the management of four departments following the principle of Nissayasampanno, i.e., being good in human relations (efficiency in dealing with people).
2) Regarding the result of management strategy development based on the Three Pāpaṇikadhamma Principles for Phrapariyattidhamma Schools under the Department of General Education Area 9, it was found that there were three management strategies, including (1) the management strategy of four departments following the principle of Cakkhumā, i.e., the far-sightedness with good visions (efficiency in thinking); 2) the management strategy of four departments following the principle of Vidhūro, i.e., the expertise in management (efficiency in the task); (3) the management strategy of four departments following the principle of Nissayasampanno, i.e., being good in human relations (efficiency in dealing with people).
3) Regarding the result of the assessment of management strategy based on the Three Pāpaṇikadhamma Principles for Phrapariyattidhamma Schools under the Department of General Education Area 9, it was found that the overall appropriateness, feasibility, usefulness, and compatibility with the empirical data were at the highest level.
