Abstract:
The objectives of this dissertation were: 1) to study the present condition, desirable conditions, and needs of academic administration in Phrapariyattidhamma Schools (General Education), Region 5; 2) to develop a strategy for academic administration according to the Tisikkhā principles (Threefold Learning) in Phrapariyattidhamma schools (General Education), Region 5; 3) to assess the strategies of academic administration according to the Tisikkhā principles in Phrapariyattidhamma schools (General Education), Region 5. This study was carried out by means of mixed-method research, both quantitative and qualitative research. The sample group included 148 teachers and committees in the Phrapariyattidhamma Schools. The tools used were a semi-structured questionnaire and an interview form. The obtained data were analyzed by the following statistics: Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, and PNImodified.
The research results were as follows:
1) The present condition, desirable conditions, and needs of academic administration in Phrapariyattidhamma Schools (General Education), Region 5: the level of academic administration in the present condition and desirable conditions overall were statistically rated at a high level as. However, the needs were most important, but there was an urgency to develop the needs first. In considering the PNImodified index value, it was found that the first place was in the fourth aspect, Instructional supervision, followed by the first aspect, curriculum management and the learning plan, and the last one was the second aspect, teaching and learning management.
2) The development results of the strategy for academic administration according to the Tisikkhā principles in Phrapariyattidhamma schools (General Education), Region 5 indicated the strategy consisted of one vision, five missions, five goals, five strategic issues, and 69 strategies.
3) The assessment results of the strategies of academic administration according to the Tisikkhā principles in Phrapariyattidhamma schools (General Education), Region 5 revealed the feasibility and appropriateness of the academic administration strategy according to the Tisikkhā principles in the Phrapariyattidhamma Schools were at the highest level.
