Abstract: มรดกวัฒนธรรมเป็นเอกลักษณ์ในการดำรงรักษาความเป็นชาติไทย ที่สืบทอดจากบรรพบุรุษมาช้านาน นับเป็นสิ่งสำคัญยิ่งที่คนไทยทั้งชาติควรรักษาสืบทอดให้ยั่งยืนสืบไปตราบนานเท่านาน แต่สถานการณ์โลกที่เปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว สังคมโลกมีความเชื่อมโยงใกล้ชิดเป็นสภาพไร้พรมแดน (Globalization) เกิดการเลื่อนไหลของกระแสวัฒนธรรมโลก ที่ผสมผสานกับวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นส่งผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงวิถีชีวิต อาจนำไปสู่การสูญเสียคุณค่าทางวัฒนธรรมดั้งเดิมและเกิดพฤติกรรมที่ไม่พึงประสงค์ในสังคมไทย การรักษาคุณค่ามรดกวัฒนธรรมไว้จำเป็นต้องใช้กระบวนการสืบทอดเป็นเครื่องมือส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชนโดยเฉพาะเด็กและเยาวชนให้ตระหนักรู้ สร้างจิตสำนึกให้มีความหวงแหนมรดกวัฒนธรรมเอกลักษณ์ของชาติที่แสดงถึงรากเหง้าของตน โขนเป็นมรดกวัฒนธรรมของไทยอันมีเอกลักษณ์โดดเด่นรวมศาสตร์และศิลป์ หลายแขนงเข้าไว้ด้วยกัน คุณค่าของโขนได้สะท้อนวิถีแห่งความเป็นไทยไว้อย่างซัดเจน องค์การยูเนสโกจึงได้ประกาศขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นมรดกวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ของมนุษยชาติ ซึ่งภายใต้อนุสัญญาว่าด้วยการสงวนรักษามรดกวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ ค.ศ. 2003 ประเทศไทยจำเป็นต้องดำเนินการเพิ่มความตระหนักเพื่อให้เกิดความเคารพและเรียนรู้คุณค่ามรดกวัฒนธรรมทั้งในระดับท้องถิ่น ระดับชาติและระดับนานาชาติ ตลอดจนสร้างการมีส่วนร่วมในการส่งเสริมและรักษา โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งการสนับสนุนส่งเสริมให้มีการศึกษาและวิจัยองค์ความรู้และภูมิปัญญาเกี่ยวกับโขนเพื่อการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิต Cultural heritage is unique in maintaining Thai society and nationality continuously. It is such a significant issue that the entire Thais inherited from ancestors for a long time should preserve a sustainable legacy as long as possible. However, the world situation is changing rapidly which the globe closely connects as a borderless state. Globalization flowing the world culture that blends with local culture has resulted in a lifestyle change. The loss of traditional cultural values and undesirable behaviors resulting in Thai society preserving cultural heritage values requires the use of the inheritance process to promote public participation, especially among children and youth, in raising awareness of their values. Creating the awareness of cherishing cultural heritage and national identity can represent one’s roots. Khon is a unique cultural heritage of Thailand that combines many fields of sciences and arts. The value of Khon reflects the Thai way of life. UNESCO has declared it a registered cultural heritage of humanity. Thailand must work to raise awareness, and respect, intangible cultural heritage values at the local, national, and international levels by the 2003 Convention on the Preservation of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Along with creative participation in the promotion and treatment might support and promote the study and research of knowledge and wisdom about Khon in various fields for Lifelong Learning.
