This paper is the Study of Production Leading Index in Thailand Long Steel Industry. The main objectives are (1) select of potential leading factors of long steel production in Thailand and (2) calculate the long steel production leading index in Thailand. The data consisted of time series monthly data during 2004-2014. The Production Leading Index in Thailand Long Steel Industry is compiled using a modified version of the method developed by the US National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Results showed that the leading factors of long steel production were Thailand's leading economic indicators, round bar sales volume, steel wire sale volume, high-tensile steel wire sale volume, SET: Index: Property Development and Construction Materials (Thailand), Composite leading index of economic nations in Asia, China's crude steel production and the industrial production index for the iron and steel industry of Malaysia. Finally, The Production Leading Index in Thailand Long Steel Industry can be used to predict the production of long steel in short-term average 5-6 months.
