Abstract: งานวิจัยเรื่องนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาถึงลักษณะและจุดมุ่งหมายของการแสดงความศรัทธาของชาวพุทธที่มีต่อองค์องค์หลวงพ่อทวดวัดช้างให้ เพื่อวิเคราะห์ลักษณะแห่งการแสดงความศรัทธาต่อองค์หลวงพ่อทวดของชาวพุทธ และเพื่อเสนอแนะการแสดงความศรัทธาที่ถูกต้องตามแนวทางของพุทธศาสนา โดยเป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพใช้วิธีการเก็บข้อมูลด้วยการสังเกต สัมภาษณ์และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงพรรณนา ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ด้านลักษณะและจุดมุ่งหมายของการแสดงความศรัทธาของชาวพุทธที่มีต่อองค์องค์หลวงพ่อทวดวัดช้างให้ พบว่ากลุ่มชาวพุทธผู้ศรัทธาได้แสดงออกถึงความเชื่อศรัทธาต่อองค์หลวงพ่อทวดที่มีความแตกต่างกันออกไปในหลากหลายมิติ บางคนมีความเชื่อศรัทธาในการมีตัวตนอยู่จริงในประวัติศาสตร์และศรัทธาในฐานะเป็นพระนักพัฒนาและเผยแผ่ศาสนา บางคนมีความเชื่อศรัทธาในคุณอภินิหาร บางคนมีความเชื่อศรัทธาในมิติที่ท่นมีอิทธิพลต่อสังคมไทย แต่กลุ่มที่มีความเชื่อศรัทธาในคุณอภินิหารถือเป็นกลุ่มใหญ่สุด โดยการแสดงความศรัทธาต่อองค์หลวงพ่อทวดของชาวพุทธมีจุดมุ่งหมายคือการระลึกถึงคุณความดีของทำนและปรารถาที่จะให้ท่านได้แสดงอภินิหารช่วยเหลือมนุษย์ให้ประสบกับความสุขและปลอดภัยจากภยันตรายทั้งหลาย ด้านการวิเคราะห์ลักษณะแห่งการแสดงความศรัทธาต่อองค์หลวงพ่อทวดของชาวพุทธพบว่าการที่ชาวพุทธได้มีความเชื่อศรัทธาในองค์ หลวงพ่อทวดเพราะกลุ่มผู้ศรัทธามีความเชื่อเป็นพื้นฐานว่าเรื่องของอิทธิฤทธิ์ปาฏิหาริย์นั้นเป็นของมีอยู่จริงในโลก และเชื่อว่าหลวงพ่อทวดเป็นผู้มีบุญญาธิการและมีอิทธิฤทธิ์ที่จะสามารถช่วยเหลือสัตว์โลกโดยเฉพาะมนุษย์ได้ อีกทั้งมีความเชื่อว่าหลวงพ่อทวดคือพระโพธิสัตว์ที่บำเพ็ญบารมีคอยช่วยเหลือสัตว์โลกให้อยู่เย็นเป็นสุข ด้านข้อเสนอแนะเพื่อการแสดงความศรัทธาที่ถูกต้องตามแนวทางของพุทธศาสนา พบว่าชาวพุทธผู้มีความศรัทธาในองค์หลวงพ่อทวดได้ให้ข้อเสนอแนะว่าชาวพุทธไม่ควรให้ความสำคัญกับหลวงพ่อทวดในมิติที่เกี่ยวกับอภินิหารเพียงอย่างเดียว เพราะเรื่องของอภินิหารเป็นสิ่งที่มองไม่เห็น และพิสูจน์ยาก แต่ชาวพุทธควรพิจารณาถึงมิติอื่น ๆ ที่เป็นประโยชน์ในการนำมาเป็นตัวอย่างสำหรับการพัฒนาตนเองด้วยเช่นกัน เช่น พิจารณาถึงการเป็นคนที่มีคุณความดี มีความอดทน เข้มแข็งและมีปัญญาของหลวงพ่อทวดในขณะที่ผู้วิจัยก็มีข้อเสนอแนะว่าชาวพุทธควรยึดถือหลวงพ่อทวดเป็นที่พึ่งในฐานะที่ท่านป็นส่วนหนึ่งของพระรัตนตรัยแล้วใช้ปัญญามองให้เห็นถึงสาระสำคัญของพระรัตนตรัยที่จะเชื่อมโยงไปหาหลักการสำคัญของคำสอนทางพุทธศาสนาต่อไป

Abstract: The objective of this research is to study the characteristics and objectives of the Buddhist faith show to the the Luang Pho Thuat. In order to analyze the nature of the Buddhist faith showing to the Luang Pho Thuat , and to suggest the expression of faith that is corrected according to the guidelines of Buddhism. This research is a qualitative research that uses the data collection method by observing, interviewing and analyzing descriptive data. Study result The nature and purpose of showing the Buddhist faith in the Luang Pho Thuat , Chang Hai Temple, found that the Buddhist group expressed their faith in a different dimension. Some people have faith in the real existence of history and faith as monks, developers and missionaries. Some people have faith in miraculous. And some people have faith in the dimension that his power have influenced to Thai society. But the group with faith in miraculous is the largest group. By showing faith to the Luang Pho Thuat of Buddhists, the aim of the Buddhist faith showing is to remember goodness and desire to happiness and safety from all dangers. The analysis of the characteristics of the faith showing to the Luang Pho Thuat, It was found that the faithful group believed in the miracle of supernatural belonged to the world, and believe that the Luang Pho Thuat is a person who has merit, and has supernatural powers that can help animals, especially humans. In addition to believed that the Luang Pho Thuat was the Bodhisattva who performed to helping human to be happy. The suggestion for showing the correctly faith according to the guidelines of Buddhism found that, Buddhist who have faith in the Luang Pho Thuat have suggested that Buddhists should not give importance to the Luang Pho Thuad in the supernatural dimension only, Because the story of the supernatural is invisible and difficult to prove, but should consider other dimensions which are useful such as self-development , being a virtuous person, patience, strength and wisdom of the Luang Por Thuat. However, there is a suggestion that Buddhist should adhere to the Luang Pho Thuat as a refuge, part of the Triple Gem and to realize the the essence of Phra Ratthanat . Whether that will be linked to the main principles of the Buddhist teachings.
