Abstract:
This research aimed to 1) study the language and communication structureof the ethnic group in SANOOK provinces 2) develop language and culturalcommunication processes to enhance social power of ethnic group in SANOOK
provinces 3) analyze cultural communication to enhance social power of ethnic groupin SANOOK provinces. This research was a participatory action research (PAR). Theresearch team used the method of Mixed Methodology Research: QuantitativeResearch and Qualitative Research, which has been collected by using interviews andquestionnaires. The target groups were 211 ethnic people of Phuthai Phon Phaeng,Phon Phaeng Village, Phon Phaeng Sub-district, That Phanom District, Nakhon PhanomProvince, and 267 ethnic people of Phuthai Renu Nakhon. Ban Nong Sang, Renu Nakhon Sub-district, Renu Nakhon District, Nakhon Phanom Province.
The results of the research showed that 1) Phuthai is the lone word language. It is usually a single syllable with a tonal sound, and the sentence structure is the same as in Thai, that is, the subject of the verb and object without conjugation according to the sentence structure as in English. 2) At present, Phutai Renu Nakhon and Phon Phaeng people still prefer to use Phutai language to communicate normally. 3) At present, the villagers have encouraged Phuthai ethnic group to be a community leader. There are many Phuthai ethnic groups who have roles in government and private sectors that can be able to push the language, culture, dress code, as well as various activities that show ethnicity of Phuthai Renu Nakhon and Phon Phon Phaeng which allows the youth to have the opportunity to experience their own culture and inheriting the culture
