Abstract:
This thesis entitled A Study Of The Relationship Between Karma And Resolution For Being Apprecaited A Specialist Of Civilized Person In Theravada Buddhism has three objectives: 1) the study the wholesome act in Theravada Buddhism, 2) to study the noble ones obtainability of the foremost in Theravada Buddhism, and 3) to study the formation of the wholesome act and the noble ones obtainability of the foremost in Theravada Buddhism. This is a qualitative research done by studying collected documents and then analyzing those data through the descriptive analysis.
In the research, it was found that etymologically the word Kamma in Buddhism basically means the act derived from the intention, be it good or bad action, by which one bodily, verbally and mentally does it. According to Buddhism, the noble one refers to the following person who obtains the special power in Buddhism: the stream enterer, once returner, non-returner, and the worthy one. Here, the foremost embraces the designation whose foremost in some special activity was approved by the Buddha. To be appointed in such a position, four causes must be present: 1) the arising of story, 2) the presence, 3) the specialization, and 4) being endowed with resolution in Buddhism. This act means the stability of mind in the cultivation of the wholesome act where one is determined to endlessly perfect his/her perfection in various ways till he/she gets the obtainability of the foremost which is regarded as the ultimate goal. Historically speaking, one has obtained the foremost one cultivated becomes innumerable. The formation of Kamma one did is sometime different and similar depending upon the serious modes of Kamma, giving, precepts, development, for instance. In this respect, the foundation of the wholesome act must be continued without any disruption till it becomes suitable to ones habit leading to the blissfulness in this world and next world. Consequently and finally, one obtains the foremost in Buddhism.
