Abstract:
The study consisted of the following objectives: 1) to investigate the conditions of administration at religious schools in Nakhon Sawan Province; and 2) to synthesize the doctrines for administrating religious schools in Nakhon Sawan Province. The study used a mixed-method research design, with quantitative data obtained from a sample group of 227 persons. A questionnaire with a reliability of.93 was used as the research tool. Frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were used to examine quantitative data. The qualitative data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 9 key informants. Content analysis was used to examine the qualitative data.
From the study, the following results are found:
1) The conditions of administration at religious schools in Nakhon Sawan Province are comprised of four aspects, with a high overall score (x = 4.61, S.D. = 0.46). When each aspect is taken into account, it is discovered in the following order, from high to low: (1) Budget management and general administration; (2) Academic administration; and (3) Personnel management.
2) From synthesizing the doctrines for administrating religious schools in Nakhon Sawan Province, the results found as follows: (1) On budget management, in which the Buddhist virtue is Aparihāniyadhamma (7 Conditions of Welfare), the Christian virtue is the Ten Commandments of Jesus Christ, and the Islamic virtue is Faith in Allah; (2) On general administration, in which the Buddhist virtue is Brahmavihāra (4 Sublime States of Mind), the Christian virtue is Ten Commandments of Jesus Christ, and the Islamic virtue is Faith in Allah; (3) On academic administration, in which the Buddhist virtue is Tisikkhā (the Threefold Learning), the Christian virtue is Ten Commandments of Jesus Christ, and the Islamic virtue is Faith in Allah; (4) On personnel management, in which the Buddhist virtue is public mind, the Christian virtue is Ten Commandments of Jesus Christ, and the Islamic virtue is Faith in Allah.
