Abstract:
The purposes of this research are: 1) To study the concepts and theories of Buddhist Perspective on Management and Environment of Sangha in Lampang Province 2) To study the process of Buddhist Perspective on Management and Environment as problems, obstacles and successes of Sangha in Lampang Province and 3) To suggest the Buddhist Perspective on Management and Environment of Sangha in Lampang Province. This Research is used the quantitative and qualitative Method. The sampling research is the Buddhist Monks who are leader and work on the conservation of natural resources, the people who are involved in the conservation of resources and the environment, and interview.
The result of study is found that:
Buddhist Perspective on Management and Environment of Sangha in Lampang Province refers to the concepts and theories basing on the Four Noble Truths and the faith in local culture on awareness of resource management and the environment correctly. There are also depictions of Buddhist rituals as the ceremony traditionally destined and ordained forest, etc. Those also depictions of Buddhist rituals as the ceremony traditionally destined and ordained forest, ete. for community to known, gratitude on nature and the environment. To understand the Dependent Origination has related between nature and humans by non-violence, treatment and prevention the management of natural resources and the environment. The management also uses the conditions of welfare to discuss and make a unity on group or the joint activities of various organizations. The Sangha also applies the sublime states of mind to be the
spiritual leadership for organizing the Buddhist rituals that emphasizes the natural and mental value than an object.
As the factors on strategic management of Buddhist Perspective on Managemnent and Environmnent for development, the public awareness, love and cherish natural resources, the interaction between people, communities and the environment restored to be abundant natural resources and the environment is found that there are two factors namely; 1) the internal factor are directly impact on the management of thenatural environment and 2) external factors is the social structure that makes local lifestyle to be changed to the economic condition by emphasizing an object. The exploitation of natural resources and environmental degradation lead to exchange or the encroachment of natural resources to be used as a building. However, the structure of the economy has created conflict and affect to individuals, communities and the environment.
Even the Buddhist monks are the leadership to direct the community's life for recognizing the self-consciousness, communities and nature, but there are two factors that will make the work successful or fail to Buddhist Perspective on Management and Environment is found that; the impacting condition are an appreciation of nature and the environment, the leadership to make harmony, participation between monk, community and environment, the creating an ideology on managing local resources to integration of modern knowledge and wisdom, the duties continuity, the lack of involving coordination with other agencies or organizations and the lack of budget to management. Thus, the development community should eliminate the obstacles and to be enhanced promote and accelerate the potential that is the substantial development of Buddhist Perspective on Management and Environment in community and to be a model for other communities in applying for a balance between man and nature.
