Abstract:
The research consisted of the following objectives: 1) to find the efficiency of the learning activity package based on Ariyasacca to promote the thinking ability on an investigation of causes and factors; 2) to compare the learning achievement of students; 3) to compare the thinking ability on an investigation of causes and factors of students; and 4) to study the satisfaction of the 3rd secondary school students toward the development of learning activity package based on Ariyasacca. A sample group was acquired by means of purposive sampling and consisted of 31 students from Ban Khao Kamphaeng School, U Thong District, Suphanburi Province in the 2nd semester of year B.E. 2563. The research instruments were the learning activity package based on Ariyasacca, learning achievement test, the test on thinking ability by means of an investigation of causes and factors, and the satisfaction assessment form for students learning Buddhism on the topic of Attha (3 Kinds of Benefit) and Paññā (3 Kinds of Wisdom). The acquired data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D.), and t-test.
The results of the research are found as follows: 1) From the learning activity package based on Ariyasacca for developing the thinking ability on an investigation of causes and factors for the 3rd secondary school students, it is found that the pretest has an efficiency equal to a percentage of 78.85 and the posttest has an efficiency equal to a percentage of 81.31, which is according to the efficiency criterion of 80/80. This is because there are indicator, learning strand, learning objectives, key competencies, skills, processes, tasks or work, learning management process, learning materials, measurement and evaluation process, etc.; 2) Students are taught by using the learning activity package based on Ariyasacca which has the posttest of learning achievement on the topic of Attha (3 Kinds of Benefit) and Paññā (3 Kinds of Wisdom) higher than the pretest with a statistical significance at 0.05 level. This is because there is an emphasis on the investigation of causes and factors, action-taking by students, the problem analysis to find the causes that are consistent with the daily life of each student; 3) Students are taught by using the learning activity package based on Ariyasacca which has the posttest of learning achievement on the topic of Attha (3 Kinds of Benefit) and Paññā (3 Kinds of Wisdom) higher than the pretest with a statistical significance at 0.05 level. This is because there is an emphasis on the systematic thinking, the seeking of factors that are the causes; the seeking of cause-and-effect relationships, action-taking, the problem analysis to find the best solution, and evaluation; 4) Students have the satisfaction toward the learning activity package based on Ariyasacca at a high level with a statistical significance at 0.05 level. This is because students are interested in studying the situation and actively searching for problems arising in that situation, and followed by the presentation in front of the classroom with confidence.
