Abstract:
The thesis consisted of the following objectives: 1) to study the development of integrated learning management according to Trisikkhā for promoting the learning achievement of the 4th secondary school students, Kanchanapisek Wittayalai School, Suphanburi province; 2) to study the opinions of students towards the development of integrated learning management according to Trisikkhā for promoting the learning achievement of the 4th secondary school students, Kanchanapisek Wittayalai School, Suphanburi province; and 3) to suggest the guidelines for developing integrated learning management according to Trisikkhā for promoting the learning achievement of the 4th secondary school students, Kanchanapisek Wittayalai School, Suphanburi province.
The research specified the content scope based on Trisikkhā or the Threefold Training in the following aspects: 1) Sīla (morality); 2) Samādhi (concentration); and 3) Paññā (wisdom). The study applied a pre-experimental research method. A sample group was acquired by means of purposive sampling and consisted of the 4th secondary school students from class 1  5, in a total of 196 students. The research instruments were learning management manual, pretest and posttest, and satisfaction assessment form. The acquired data were analyzed using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) to find out mean, percentage, and standard deviation (S.D.).
The results of the research are as follows:
The opinions of students towards the development of integrated learning management according to Trisikkhā for promoting the learning achievement of the 4th secondary school students, Kanchanapisek Wittayalai School, Suphanburi province found that overall is at a high level with a mean (x̄) equal to 4.29. When considering each aspect, the activities on the teaching and learning overall is at a high level with a mean (x̄) equal to 4.32. On learning package is at a high level with a mean (x̄) equal to 4.29. On evaluation is at a high level with a mean (x̄) equal to 4.07. Lastly, benefits of the learning package is at a high level with a mean (x̄) equal to 4.03.
In conclusion, the opinions of students overall are at a high level. The students pretest towards the development of integrated learning management according to Trisikkhā for promoting the learning achievement of the 4th secondary school students found that the question which had the most correct answer was what did the Buddha teach when dealing with Samudaya (the Cause of Suffering)?. There were 80 students who gave the correct answer, representing 40.8%. The question that had the least correct answer was what is the right practice of one who has wisdom? There were 58 students who gave the correct answer, representing 29.6%. While the students posttest towards the development of integrated learning management according to Trisikkhā for promoting the learning achievement of the 4th secondary school students found that the question which had the most correct answer was To purify the mind and be free from defilement is the training at which stage of Trisikkhā? and Which dhamma concludes all the admonitions throughout the 45 years of the rainy season by the Buddha. There were 168 students who gave the correct answer, representing 58.7%. The question that had the least correct answer was Why is Buddhism said to be the religion of cause and effect? There were 144 students who gave the correct answer, representing 73.5%.
The suggestions from the research are as follows: Students should be led to join activities of the temple and community in order to create a good relationship and good attitude between school and community as well as receiving support to join activities with the community in order to create cooperation between community and parents. The activities to connect the relationship between teachers, administrators, students and community should also be organized. Moreover, students at all levels should be encouraged to practice meditation and cultivate wisdom. The cooperation in operating the learning management according to Trisikkhā should be made in a serious manner by the community and explanation should be made for the parents to understand. The basic life activities that will train students with problem-solving skills should also be organized. The cooperation network between village, monastery and school should be built in order to develop the learning of students according to Trisikkhā continuously. Lastly, teachers, students and parents should be encouraged to practice meditation together on various occasions.
