Abstract:
The research entitled The Building of Motivation for Merit-Making Based on Puññakiriyāvatthu for Students of Bang Rachan Kindergarten School, Singburi Province applied an experimental research method by means of One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The research consisted of the following objectives: 1) to study the building of motivation for merit-making based on Puññakiriyāvatthu for students of Bang Rachan Kindergarten school, Singburi province; 2) to compare the building of motivation for merit-making based on Puññakiriyāvatthu for students of Bang Rachan Kindergarten school, Singburi province; and 3) to find out the learning achievement on the building of motivation for merit-making based on Puññakiriyāvatthu for students of Bang Rachan Kindergarten school of 1 classroom with a total number of 30 students which was selected by means of purposive sampling.
The results of the research are found as follows:
1) The achievement of learning management based on Puññakiriyāvatthu in the learning strand of Social Studies, Religions, and Cultures, in Buddhism subject, for the 3rd elementary school students is equal to 9.57. This represents that students have progress in learning as they have higher scores.
2) The efficiency of learning management based on Puññakiriyāvatthu in the learning strand of Social Studies, Religions, and Cultures, in Buddhism subject, for the 3rd elementary school students found to have pretest score of 521 scores, means (x̄) equal to 17.37, with a standard deviation (S.D.) at 4.63. From the scores of all pretests in a total of 1,200, it represents 43.42%
3) The test that students get the most score for pretest is the 1st learning test (sīla) with a score of 139, means (x̄) equal to 4.63, with a standard deviation (S.D.) at 1.33. From the scores of all pretests in a total of 300, it represents 46.33%
