The study consisted of the following objectives: 1) to investigate teaching of the 2nd secondary school students of Samakkhi Wittaya School, Lamnarai, Lopburi Province based on Yonisomanasikāra; and 2) to compare the pretest and post-test results on civic duty subject of the 2nd secondary school students at Samakkhi Wittaya School in Lamnarai, Lopburi Province. A sample group included the 2nd secondary school students who were in class 1 at Samakkhi Wittaya School in Lamnarai, Lopburi Province, in a total of 35 students. The data were collected by using the one-group pretest-posttest design. Purposive sampling was used to select a sample group. The collected data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation (S.D.), and inferential statistics such as the paired sample t-test.
From the study, it is found as follows: Teaching based on Yonisomanasikāra or thorough attention is accomplished by instilling a positive attitude in students, providing an appropriate environment, fostering positive relationships, and providing stimuli for students to gather data, facts, knowledge, and skills. This includes the ability to use causal reasoning, the search for elements that can lead to a conclusion, and the evaluation of both students and students. The study discovered that a group of learners can learn together by looking for information and reasons, summarizing the assignment, and presenting the content for other groups to learn from, answer questions, and exchange learning. All of this result in 80 percent of students being able to learn and use reasons based on Yonisomanasikāra.
The learning achievement of the 2nd secondary school students on the learning management plan 1 under the topic "Buddhist teachings for coexistence" has a pretest of 3.75 and a post-test of 6.75, with a t-test of 16.43. The learning management plan 2 under the topic Other religions' teachings for coexistence has a pretest of 4.25 and a post-test of 7.31, with a t-test of 15.87. The post-test is higher than the pretest with a statistical significance of 0.01 level.
