Abstract:
The research title "An application of the ecological teachings in Tipitaka in order to prevent
the Orders of Sanghas' environment in Udornthani province" aimed at studying the
participation of the Orders of Sanghas in preserving the environment in Udorthnthani
province and studying the supporting factors and obstacles of the community participation
in preserving the Orders of Sanghas' environment in Udornthani province.
The tools for collection of data were the formats of interviews and formats of
notification. The collections of data were made by interviewing and noticing with
participations. The samples who gave the data consisted of 30 numbers of Buddhist monks,
community leaders and general people. The data were analyzed and synthesized by
interpretation and created data.
From Phradhepratanamuni's attitude, e had applied the Four Foundations of
Mindfulness for cultivating various plants and vegetables, that is, before planting, the
planters must know what they must do with the mindfulness such as Kaewmangkorn plants
must be studied first. The planters should study the seeds of them, the way to plant,
preserving, manure usage, nourishing until producing the fruits. All steps must be made with
the efforts and endurance without angry when the planters face the obstacles such as the
flowers and fruits eaten by insects. The products are destroyed. He has the way to solve
the problems, that is, to cultivate the plants that are displeased by the insects or using the
obstructed water from the herbs or fermented water from plants until become the
microorganism that result from study and handmade by individuals etc. The ecological
systems in this Dhammasathana maintains and progress until become tot be the great
forests with various plants and full of the living things. It is regarded that these are the
factors that enhance to maintain the forests. From working for the engaged Buddhism, it
makes the monastery and Dhammasathan become the center to assist the society in the
aspect of spirituality by using Dhamma to be tools for assisting people who enter for
training and live with society continuously. When all the materials can not solved, to solve
the immateriality is to be one way to solve the problems
From Phrakrubuddhayana's role, it shows that it without the Orders of
Sangha, Buddhism cannot maintain until the present. At the present, it is the great critical
point and if no assistance to support from the Sanghas, it will be troubled. But the lay
Buddhists participate in creating this place until this place is built up and to be the place for
studying and researching the seeds of various plants and the basic formats of preserving the
environments in the other places. Because the forests, not to be destroyed, still maintain as
they are such as the community forests, although they are imperfect but they are good original point. If we do not preserve them, they will not exist in the present. It means that
there are a lot of researches concerning the forests that should be studied, if we do not
develop them, it seems to be deplored, but people in the location participate in preserving
the forests as well. The official sectors, educational institutes and community participate in
various activities for preserving the forests. To apply the Buddhist teachings is not to
persecute, not to destroy the living things, it results in the good production, that is, the trees
are not destroyed and the forests increased, it makes the places beautiful as they are.
Besides the lay people, the Orders of Sangha still play the important roles, that is, entering
the temple, if people meet the Buddhist monks, they have a great pleasure just like entering
the forests. The natural forests do not need anything else more than they exist and without
destroying by fire. The natures will be adapted in balance by themselves.
