Abstract:
The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the model and processes in creating the network of self-reliance of farmers in the northeast; 2) to study the promotion of creating the network of self-reliance of farmers in the northeast; 3) to study the problems and obstacles of creating the network of self-reliance of farmers in the northeast. This study was conducted be means of the mixed method research methodology. Its targets: 30 farmers growing rice and doing organic agriculture were selected by purposive sampling and participated in interviews. Its samples included 600 farmers, selected by random sampling, who grew rice and doing organic agriculture in three provinces in the northeast.
The research results were as follows:
1) The opinion of the samples on the level of change of the model of self-reliance in the mental aspect in overall was estimated at a high statistical level (Mean = 3.77, S.D.=.95).
2) The opinion of the samples on the level of change of the model of self-reliance in the social aspect in overall was estimated at a high statistical level (Mean = 3.79, S.D.=.95).
4) The opinion of the samples on the level of change of the model of self-reliance in the technology aspect in overall was estimated at a high statistical level (Mean = 3.92, S.D.=.93).
5) The opinion of the samples on the level of change of the model of self-reliance in the natural and environmental aspect in overall was estimated at a high statistical level (Mean = 4.11, S.D.=.93).
6) Building self-reliance networks for farmers in the northeast is a link in the form of a network of farmers that must be developed to a level of joint action in order to achieve common goals, consisting of models and processes: 1) same perception; 2) vision; 3) interests or common advantages: 4) participation of all members of the network; 5) mutual encouragement; 6) mutual support; 7) exchange interaction.
7) Problems and obstacles consist of 1) ambiguous targeting; 2) members within the network; 3) domination; 4) legal status; 5) monitoring and evaluation. 3) The opinion of the samples on the level of change of the model of self-reliance in the economic aspect in overall was estimated at a high statistical level (Mean = 3.86, S.D.=.95).
