Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study the level of internal supervision management in primary schools under Ratchaburi Provincial Primary Education Office, to compare the management in those schools according to personnels responsibilities and school sizes and to investigate the problems of the internal supervision management. The sample subjects were 362 informants selected from administrators and teachers under Ratchaburi Provincial Primary Education Office by the multistage random sampling technique. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire in the forms of five-point rating scales and open-ended questions. The statistics used for analyzing the data were percentage, means, standard deviation, t-test and F-test.
The research findings were as follows : 1. As a whole, the internal supervision management in primary schools under Ratchaburi Provincial Primary Education Office was at the high level. Considering individually, the three aspects of management ranked at the high level were the implementation of supervision planning, determination of supervision responsive positions and supervision planning whereas the two aspects with moderate level means were evaluation with application of its result and information system management for supervision planning.
2. On comparison of the opinions of administrators and teachers on the overall aspects of internal supervision management in primary schools under Ratchaburi Provincial Primary Education Office, it was statistically different at the 0.01 level of significance. Concerning each aspect, it was statistically different at 0.01 level of significance in the aspect of determination of supervision responsive positions, implementation of supervision planning and supervision planning. However, there was no significance different in the aspects of information system management for supervision planning and evaluation with application of its results.
3. Concerning the sizes of schools in internal supervision management in primary schools under Ratchaburi Provincial Primary Education Office, there was no significance different among the small, medium and large school sizes.
4. The problems of the internal supervision management in primary schools under Ratchaburi Provincial Primary Education Office were found in 6 aspects: the most two equally important aspects were the lack of teacher positions and teachers burden of much work load. The other 4 aspects could be respectively ranked in order according to their importance, like this: unacceptability in each other, overlooking the importance of supervision, supervision lack of knowledge and understanding in the target scopes of supervision and the shortage of budget and
