Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to 1) develop the blended learning model
for a learning center in artificial intelligent application for industrial system integration 2) develop learning content and instruction media 3) assess learning achievement and operational skill of learners and 4) develop mentorship system and evaluate the
industrial project developed by learners at the end of training program. This research is based on Quasi Experiment with One-Group Pretest/Posttest Design. The quality of the learning model and research instruments has been approved by 10 academic and industrial experts. For training curriculum design phase, training needs and required skills of system integrator have been identified from 221 experienced persons from industry based on depth interview and feedback from questionnaire. For research instrument developing stage, research and development method has been applied to 310 participants in numerous observation. The research instruments were composed of semi-structured interviewing form, questionnaires, mentorship satisfaction evaluation form, industrial project efficiency assessment form, skill assessment form, and leaning achievement evaluation form. Under experts' investigation, the quality of the developed learning model has the appropriateness at high level (X = 4.31, S.D. = 0.60) where the learning package also has the appropriateness at high level (X = 4.27, S.O. = 0.61). For the final stage, the training experiment has been applied to 75 participants with the combination of industrial employees and senior university students who were interested in becoming the system integrator and joined the program via online registration.
The results demonstrate that the learning model has encouraged the learners to
significantly gain the knowledge in .05 statistical level and to leverage skill to proficient level. In addition, the satisfaction of the mentorship models during implementation
of industrial projects was in high level (X = 4.68, S.D. = 0.60). The key success factors of learning model consisted of flexibility and shorter learning curve, learning media
especially in practice period, assistant from admin and advisor. The key success factors of implementation phase were comprising of relevancy with the need of industry, assistance during project implementation, and support from private company.
