Apply the good governance principles in mineral resource management a case of stone for the construction industry of Thailand to sustainable development
Abstract:
The objectives of this research is to study the use of good governance in mineral resources management in the case of stone for the construction industry of Thailand for sustainable development. This study was collected by a pioneering survey research methodology that it consists of qualitative research through in-depth interviews 22 mineral industry experts with 3 times of Delphi techniques and group discussions with 14 mineral industry experts combination with the collection of quantitative data by using questionnaires from 400 people that living in the stone industrial establishment area and statistical data analysis with SPSS package. The statistics used for data analysis consisted of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Kruskal-Wallis One-way ANOVA analysis. The results of the study showed that a group of experts expressed similar views. Principles of good governance in mineral resource management for sustainable development consists of 6 principles as 1) Rule of law 2) Morality 3) Transparency 4) Participation 5) Accountability and 6) Cost Effectiveness or Economy. The results of statistical analysis showed that the application of good governance in mineral resource management. The case of stone for the country's construction industry to become sustainable development. The overall mean of 3.617 is at a high level with the standard deviation (SD) of 0.744, and when considering each aspect, it was found that 1) Rule of law has mean of 3.454 at a high level. 2) Morality has mean of 3.598 at a high level. 3) Transparency has mean of 3.205 at a moderate level. 4) Participation has mean of 4.000 at a high level. 5) Accountability has mean of 3.756 at a high level and 6) Cost Effectiveness or Economy has mean of 3.847 at a high level.
