Quantitative research was applied to 424 samples of elderly workers (5055 yrs.) employed in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) automotive industry, and qualitative research method was applied by a focus group of 15 experts. The statistics used were T-test, F-test, and multiple regression. The findings of the qualitative research revealed that: 1) elderly workers of various ages, educational levels, monthly income, indebtedness, and extra income had differences in their activities and behaviors in preparing for work after retirement; 2) elderly workers of various sex, age, educational level, monthly income, indebtedness, and extra income had differences in readiness to workafter retirement; and 3) the relationship between elderly workers' activities and post-retirement preparation behaviors in general influenced 39.8% of the variation in their readiness to workafter retirement. Activity and behavioral factors that consist of the aspects of the establishment, health, and the demand for work after retirement can be used to explain the variance of elderly workers readiness to work after retirement by 46.4% at statistical significance. A model of elderly workers' readiness to work after retirement can be presented with a triangle consisting of 1) basic preparation activities and behaviors, 2) readiness to work after retirement, and 3) promotion and support.
