Abstract:
The academic article entitled "A design of contemporary silver jewelry based on the
local cultural capital of Si Satchanalai district, Sukhothai Province" is part of the academic service
in jewelry design for the entrepreneurs of the Maingern-Maithong business located at Si
Satchanalai district, Sukhothai province. Its contents involve 1) the Si Satchanalai district's silver
jewelry manufacturing source and silvenware Maingern-Maithong shop, 2) silver jewelry patterns
of the Maingern-Maithong shop and 3) designs of contemporary silver jewelry using a local form
of Si Satchanalai district's cultural capital. This entrepreneur aspires to create and improve the
styles of silver jewellery to refteet the local identis2. This data collection was gathered through
interviews, feasibility studies, and consultancy. The result of this academi@ service is a set of silver
jewelry comprising rings, bangles, and necklaces embellished with the "Lai Kruewan" of floral
motifs. It is the local identity of Si Satchanalai motifs and is a crucial component of the external
housing decoration. Then, the necklace style was selected to create a real piece by changing the
design to fit the needs of consumers. The design of contemporary silver jewelry elevates the
entrepreneur's jewelry to the next level.
