Abstract:
Cold storage technology is intended to help maintain product quality. Study about solution to help and solve many problems in fruit transportation such as product loss, shelf-life and product quality. Various factors cause fruit spoilage. airflow, heat, humidity, temperature, packaging or mechanical damages may have an impact on both the quality and safety of fruits. Keeping sensitive products in an appropriate temperature-controlled storage system is suggested to maintain the quality of the fruits for consumption or to reduce decay or go bad rapidly. From research study main parameter or factor is used to assess the result obtained from the usefulness of products, such as types of vehicles, types of fruits, level of importance or sensitivity of each fruit and time for the transportation of fruits are considered in the calculation. Then, design usefulness equation for guide to select suitable vehicle. Lastly, in the future if it is applied to other types of fresh food industries, it is necessary to have basic knowledge and may need additional parameters or factors in the usefulness calculation such as more different sizes of the trucks, suitable temperature and sensitivity of products
