Abstract:
ABSTRACT
This research aimed to: 1) investigate the current and desirable conditions of educational innovation management in era of Education 5.0; 2) develop the educational innovation management strategies in era of Education 5.0; and 3) implement the educational innovation management strategies in era of Education 5.0. This study was policy research using mixed methods. It was divided into 4 phases: 1) The conceptual framework determination of educational innovation management strategies in era of Education 5.0 was the qualitative data collection through an interview. The informants were 5 experts in educational administration and innovation selected by purposive selection based on the set criteria. The research instrument was a semi-structured interview form. Data were analyzed by content analysis. 2) The investigation of the current and desirable conditions of educational innovation management in era of Education 5.0 was a quantitative data collection. The research sample consisted of 362 school administrators and teachers derived by proportional stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire constructed by the researcher. The research statistics were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and PNImodified. 3) The development of educational innovation management strategies in era of Education 5.0 was a qualitative data collection through a focus group discussion. The informants were 12 experts in educational administration and innovation. The instrument used was SWOT analysis and TOWS matrix tables. Data were analyzed by content analysis. 4) The implementation of educational innovation management strategies in era of Education 5.0, consisting of 5 components with 15 strategies, was conducted in one target school for 3 months. The instrument used was recording forms. The informants were school administrators and department heads of the target school. Data were analyzed by content analysis.
The research results showed that:
1. Overall and in specific aspect, the current condition of the educational innovation management in era of Education 5.0 was at a high level. Overall and in specific aspects, the desirable condition of the educational innovation management in era of Education 5.0 was at the highest level. Regarding the priority needs index (PNI), management innovation was the first priority for development (PNImodified = 0.18), followed by instructional media innovation (PNImodified = 0.14), and teaching and learning innovation (PNImodified = 0.14). Curriculum innovation (PNImodified = 0.13) and measurement and assessment (PNImodified = 0.13) were the last priority for development.
2. The educational innovation management strategies in era of Education 5.0 comprised 5 components: 1) curriculum innovation, 2) teaching and learning innovation, 3) instructional media innovation, 4) measurement and assessment innovation, and 5) management innovation, totaling 15 strategies. The developed strategies were certified and improved by the experts with feasibility, appropriateness, correctness, and usability.
3. The results of strategy implementation revealed that the target school had significantly changed for the positive aspects of curriculum, teaching and learning management, and administration in which all strategies were effective and can be implemented.
