Abstract:
In this research, the effects of sodium polyacrylate mixed with mortar were
studied in different curing methods (plastic wrap curing, water curing, air curing, wet
and dry curing) and performance of decreasing the temperature or even prevent
when plaster concrete on wall. There are tested for compressive strength according
to BS EN 12390. For the specimen, the results showed that the curing of plastic wrap had the highest compressive strength which has similar effects to curing with water.
In terms of efficiency of strength, reducing and slowing down the heat, it was found
that the compressive strength of specimen decreased when increase temperature
and amount of sodium polyacrylate. However, when specimen plaster with sodium-
polyacrylate mortar that can reduce the internal temperature of a specimen by 69-
73%. In addition, sodium polyacrylate can reduce the compressive strength loss of
samples due to heat of 17% which compared to specimens that expose direct heat.
The compressive strength was reduced of 34%.
